Soap Making Basics

This course is perfect for those who want the purest soap for their family, friends, and for their own health. Soaps do not need to have tons of dyes and perfumes to smell lovely and do a great job of cleaning our bodies, our laundry and our homes. This basic soap making course is right on time for you to make your own handmade soaps as gifts for the holidays. Making soap yourself will not only save you an incredible amount of money, it is a basic skill that will reconnect you with your own needs and empower you to meet them.

Join us in person at the center or at one of our off site workshops in Edmonton, Westlock, or Athabasca. Our live workshops include instruction, one on one question and answering, detailed step by step instruction, recipes, soap making supplies for your first batch of soap which you will take home with you, and access to our online soap making video tutorials.

The ReSkilled Life has a very strong ethic of using locally available materials. We supply tallow and lard as the base for our soap making classes. However, if you are vegan and aim to make vegetable based soaps, the workshop will benefit you in all the same ways, we simply wont have a batch of soap for you to bring home at the end.
